Design in Everything is about recognising, celebrating and investing in the power of design across the North East. Our vision is simple: design works here. We exist to make great design accessible for all, creating opportunities for designers, commissioners and the wider region, and helping the North East realise the full potential of design. Design is not an optional extra, but a vital force shaping better places, stronger businesses, richer culture and more inclusive communities.
Design in Everything connects across all types of design, creating space for collaboration. It champions the people, studios and ideas already making a difference, while opening up ways to meet, develop, win work and deliver meaningful impact. When design is embedded in everything we do, everyone benefits.
Design in Everything builds on the success of Tyne Design Week in 2025.

Co-Design Challenges
Co-Design Challenges bring together businesses, charities, designers and communities to tackle real-world challenges through collaborative, design-led workshops that generate practical ideas for positive change.
Hands-on Sessions
Get creative outside of your day-to-day with practical sessions that give you the chance to try something new. There are plenty of opportunities to get stuck in, whether you're interested in life drawing, exploring your self-expression through zine making or using Lego Serious Play to navigate the future of design and AI.
Socials
Our socials bring together designers, creatives and the wider community to connect, share ideas and build relationships in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Whether it's refreshing connections with old friends or meeting someone new, these events are designed to lead to valued conversations and collaborations.
The Design in Everything Showcase
Five locations. Five mornings. One showcase of design across the North East.
Across five mornings, we’re bringing together over 100 designers and creative organisations, with a different line-up of exhibitors at each location. Expect a wide variety of work from across sectors and disciplines with opportunities to discover new ideas, meet the people behind them and connect with others working in design. The showcase will take place in Durham, Gateshead, Morpeth, Newcastle and Sunderland.
