Out of Office, Into Print (paid session)

A relaxed, hands-on zine-making session inviting attendees to experiment with print, collage and storytelling. Here, people will be taking print apart and putting it back together their way. It’s all about finding your page and style!

What is a Zine?

A zine is a small, self-published publication that you make yourself!

Unlike traditional magazines, there are no real rules. A zine can be about anything you care about.

Think of it as a collection of things you love, care about, or feel inspired by, brought together in one small booklet. Zines are traditionally very DIY, using things like paper, scissors, glue, drawings, and photographs. In this session, we'll be creating ours entirely from old magazines!

Agenda

6:00pm–6:30pm — Welcome & Zine Making Introduction

Introduction to Unique Magazines, zine culture and a simple guide to creating your own zine.

6:30pm–8:30pm — Create Your Zine

Free and guided making, with plenty of time to explore your ideas, interests and creative style.

8:30pm–9:00pm — Late-Night Browsing

Time to explore the store, browse print and discover something new.

This event involves a small cost to cover time and materials used in the session.
